Turkey Trot Acres ~ 2012 Seasons

Spring Gobbler - May 1-31, 2012
Fall Turkey - Oct. 1- Nov. 16, 2012
Deer Season - Nov. 17- Dec. 11, 2012

We book 3-day hunts. Arrive by 4 PM day before hunt. Deer hunters arrive by 1 PM.
All hunts include: Three home cooked meals daily, three nights lodging, professional licensed N.Y.S. hunting guide, clean single beds in private rooms.
All guests must sign a waiver releasing Turkey Trot Acres and all land owners from liability claims.
Licenses are not included in price of hunt. We can obtain licenses and doe tags (2nd deer permit) for you. The nonresident prices are:

Small Game and Turkey Permit- $135.00

Big Game Season - Gun or Bow - $140.00 ~ Doe Tags - $10.00

Spring Gobbler -We will have 100-150 gobblers located through out over 50,000 acres which we hunt. Our guides will roost birds in the evening with you. In the morning we will attempt to call a bird into gun range. Over the last 22 years, the guides here at Turkey Trot have collectively called well over 1,500 gobblers to the gun!

Fall Turkey Season - Is a real treat at Turkey Trot Acres. It's our most successful hunt because we hunt with well-trained turkey dogs. We've teamed up with John Byrne and Son from Lowry Virginia, breeders of the finest turkey dogs in the country. Watching our Appalachian Turkey Dogs bust a flock of turkeys and then calling the birds to the blind is a truly unique experience.

Gun Hunting for Whitetail Deer - Candor NY consistently ranks in the top ten townships in the NYS deer kill. Hunting is limited to rifles, shotguns and muzzleloaders. All deer hunting is done from elevated or ground level stands. We do not run a fully guided deer hunt but we will show you stand sites in prime hunting areas.
